DadGear Sport Bag – Retro Stripe – Blue

September 26th, 2007

dadgearblue.jpgMy husband and I LOVE the Blue Sport Bag from Dad Gear. In the four years since our first child was born, Tom has suffered through father-son outings with supplies in a grocery store bag, in a gym bag way too big to hang on the stroller and in my designer diaper bag that looks ridiculous on his 6′4″ frame. With the Sport Bag, we don’t have to shuffle supplies between bags and risk forgetting something important. I can keep the bag stocked with diapers, snacks and wipes (the attached wipes case is incredibly convenient and innovative!) and still have room in it for my wallet, camera and cell phone. When Tom is taking the kids out without me, he can dump my personal stuff, throw the bag over his shoulder and head out without feeling silly like he would with a traditional pastel diaper bag. I like the bag because it doesn’t scream, “I’m the mother of small children!” if I use it when I’m running errands without my kids along.

After 3 busy weeks of trips to the beach, the pool club, the playground, the mall and various playdates, our bag still looks like new. It wipes clean with a wet cloth on the inside and outside. The front flap is reversible to give it a different look and the inside lining is white which makes it easy to find small things like a cell phone at the bottom of the bag. Although it is pricier than a generic diaper bag from a baby superstore, the durability and flexibility of the Dad Gear Sport Bag make it worth every penny.

Dad Gear Diaper Vest

September 20th, 2007

diapervest2.jpgWhen I first received the package I was shocked to see how much it looked like your average vest. I was expecting to see some bulky vest that you can totally tell what I would have in the pockets, but I was wrong, even the changing pad is very well hidden in the back of the vest.

I wore this vest a few times, like to the park, at rest stops, even to a very casual restaurant. When the other men saw me changing my son and where I was taking out the pad, diapers, and wipes, they all took interested as to where I bought the vest so I told them that it was sold at www.dadgear.com

There are many pockets on this vest which is a big plus, because you can spread things throughout the vest instead of cramming it all into one part. There is a large pocket for your keys, cell phones, or MP3 player, a travel wipes access pocket, one tall pocket on each side for bottles, two large pockets on the interior front for diapers (that can hold up to #6 size diapers), and one pocket on either side in the lower front for additional storage. I highly recommend this vest especially for dads who do not want to drag along a bag, or who would like to have a free arm to use for other things.

Doctor Bobby – The Stick

April 17th, 2007

Having just had my second baby, my home and diaper bags are filled with numerous brands of skin soothing products. I’m always needing the one thing I can’t find, and keeping up with different products for different situations can be impossible. That has all changed for good, now that I have found The Stick.

My entire family uses The Stick, and we absolutely love it. My 3 month old has eczema on his face, and The Stick has been perfect to help soothe his chapped skin without making it messy and greasy. My three year old has a horrible habit of peeling the skin off of his lips when they start getting dry. I wasn’t able to find anything to help keep the lips moisturized and soft so that they could heal until I started using The Stick. I have been using The Stick on my lips, and I am amazed at how long the product actually stays on. It doesn’t wear off like normal lip balms, and I am able to eat and drink without it coming off! My husband has horribly dry cuticles, and we have started using it to help soothe and heal that area as well. There is nothing that I wouldn’t try The Stick on, because everything we’ve used it for so far has worked wonders for us!

Price: $10
Website: http://www.DrBobby.com
Age range: Infants to Adults
Pros: It works for everything. It is the one product that you can take with you everywhere and use on anything safely and easily. It also comes with a clip on the lid that makes it super easy to attach to your purse, diaper bag, stroller or clothing. I never have trouble finding it!
Cons:  I honestly haven’t found any cons. It has worked great for everything I’ve used it for.
Ease of Use:
It is super easy to use, and there is no mess involved.
Packaging: It comes in a large stick, and I think it looks really cute.
Would you recommend to friends? Absolutely! I already have!
