Angel Baby Lotion

April 7th, 2007

Both of my daughters have really sensitive skin, so I’m always hesitant to try new lotions for fear it will make them break out. Then I came across Angel Baby Lotion by Earth Mama * Angel Baby, which is organic and therefore should be safe to use on my daughters. And it was! I have finally found a great smelling lotion that doesn’t make them break out. The other great thing about this lotion is that it isn't heavy and it isn't greasy. It's also very easy to pump and I could do it one handed, while trying to hold down a squirmy toddler with the other.

And if I'm being completely honest, I loved this lotion so much I started using it for myself!

Peek a Boo Bunny Guess Who? – ages 9m+

April 6th, 2007

The Peek a Boo Bunny Guess Who? is an interactive card game. There are six cards in all and the bunny magnetic card. You attach one of the cards to the bunny card and play a game of peek a boo with baby. I didn't find the game very effective with Makenzie as she wasn't very interested in doing much more than playing with the squeaky bunny. It made her laugh when it squeaked. I was really excited to play this game with her but after sitting with her for just a few minutes, she lost interest fast. It takes time to put the bunny's magnetic hands back over its eyes and prepare for the next card and that bored her. I think if she were just a few months older, she would love it.

Price: $11.99

Age range: 9 Mos. +

Pros: I love that it gave the baby and I interaction time together. It's not just a toy she is content to play with on the floor by herself. Not only that, but it's also teaching her the names of different animals.

Cons: I found that it was too hard to use with a baby of her age. I also found that the flap to look under to see the animal is easy to tear off of the card. Maybe if the flap were made of a thin plastic, it would wear better. The squeaker in the bunny is hard to squeak as well.

Ease of Use: On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 7. I think it would be better if she were just a bit older. Then she might even put the bunnies hands over its eyes as well. I think that might make it more fun.

Packaging: I LOVE the packaging. Its very bright and colorful and the cards are so conveniently stored in it. The Velcro tabs to keep them inside was brilliant!

Durability: The flaps tear from the cards easily but everything else was extremely durable.

Would you recommend to friends? Yes and I'd likely give this as a 1st Birthday gift.

Tummy Honey Cream

April 5th, 2007

I have been using the Tummy Honey for about 4 weeks now and have noticed a big difference in my old stretch marks and have also noticed that new ones are not appearing yet. I am now 25 weeks pregnant but my stomach is very large. It is stretching more and more every day but after faithfully using the Tummy Honey, I am not noticing any new stretch marks developing. I am also very pleased with the way it stops my skin from itching so badly, which I had a problem with early on and for my first pregnancy. I love this product and do plan on ordering more until the end of my pregnancy and to fade any new stretch marks that do pop up. The scent is also very pleasant — not overwhelming at all, it has a very light fragrance which I find delightful.

Price:$24.95

Website: http://www.mothersintuition.com

Age range: Anywhere from teenagers getting breast stretch marks or growth stretch marks, to past moms who wish to fade older stretch marks,  to pregnant moms trying to prevent new stretch marks.

Pros: Beautiful fragrance; very easy to apply; soaks into skin so it’s not greasy; lovely packaging; gets rid of itch due to stretching skin and dry skin; and fades older stretch marks.

Cons: Bottle was too small to really experiment with all over my body!

Ease of Use: Very simple, I just apply morning and night

Packaging: Extremely cute and mommy friendly :)

Would you recommend to friends? Absolutely, much better than the average stretch mark cream.
